Too Much Sauce

Magical Bowl of Deliciousness

After your next appointment with us, walk next door to Too Much Sauce. Not only is their menu delicious and healthy, but they have tons of different options catering to different dietary needs including keto, gluten-free, and vegan/vegetarian. If you love their sauces, you can buy a bottle and take it home with you. I highly recommend the Beet-It-Up Sauce (especially if you like aesthetic Instagram pics!)

My Order: Power Bowl or Mediterranean Shrimp… with the Beet-It-Up Sauce

Address: 1430 N Mills Ave #170, Orlando, FL 32803

Hummus House

Located off Orlando Ave., Hummus House is a great option for anyone craving a healthy yet flavorful Mediterranean meal. I am ashamed to admit how long it took me to actually get my butt in the door but since they have so many vegan options, this became a go-to for me during our Vegan January Challenge. I highly recommend stopping in next time you have a craving for a low-key, Mediterranean experience.

My order: Spinach salad with falafel, tabouleh, roasted garlic hummus, and tahini. After Vegan January, I’m swapping tahini for Tzatiki- my favorite!!

Address: 862 Orlando Ave #100, Winter Park, FL 32789

Hungry Pants

The CLT

Megan told me about this place during Vegan January, so my fellow dietitian friend and I went for dinner before a musical at The Doctor Philips Dinner. Their menu had a solid mix of healthy vegan and non-vegan options, which was perfect since I was following the challenge and she wasn’t. I was impressed by their unique options such as the cauliflower tots, citrus beets, and Mac N’ Cheese made with butternut squash -. Bonus points? Their hamburger is made from grass-fed beef.

My order: The CLT (Curry Lime Tempeh Sandwich) with a black bean brownie dessert.

Address: 3421 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32806

Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux

It’s like Panera Bread but better (and local)! I love to arrange coffee and lunch dates here because the atmosphere is so cozy, and I love trying their seasonal specials. Pro tip for the moms, dads, and babysitters: Kiddos eat free on Tuesdays between 5-9 PM with purchase of an adult entree! #SaveDatMoney

My Order:
The Tandem- ½ Alp D’Huez Salad and ½ Black Bean soup with side of carrots and hummus.
Breakfast- The Early Break-Fast wrap
Shared Plate- Hummus Plate or Hores Categorie Nachos
For drinks, almond milk latte or kombucha.

Address: 3022 Corrine Dr, Orlando, FL 32803

Poke Hana

Poke bowls are having a moment, and I am here for it. Unlike sushi, it’s easy to customize your order to have more veggies, protein, and healthy fats. I’d recommend ordering ½ rice and ½ greens as your base for extra fiber and more room for delicious toppings.

My order: Samurai Salmon with ½ rice and ½ greens

Address: 1225A E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803

Greenbeat

Salmon, Avocado, and Greens- Oh My!

Hands down, this is my favorite place in Downtown Orlando for a salad. I cannot wrap my head around how they’re able to offer as many ingredients as they do, but I’m SO thankful they figured it out. I’ve tried to mimic my order at home but it’s simply not the same. I strongly recommend the roasted eggplant and gluten-free basil lime dressing. Simply delish!

My order: Custom bowl with ½ spinach, ½ kale, marinated eggplant, cauliflower, goat cheese, salmon, and basil lime dressing. They offer pita chips or bread on the side, so I mix it up depending on my mood!

Address: 486 N Orange Ave #4, Orlando, FL 32801

Bolay

Bol-heyyy! If you’re ever in a pinch for something healthy that the whole family will like, this is yo’ stop. If you haven’t gotten a chance to try Bolay yet, it’s basically a health nut’s heaven. There are tons of ways to mix their flavorful veggies and proteins so you never get bored. Like many of the other establishments I’ve mentioned in this post, Bolay offers a build-your-own model of eating, allowing anyone watching their health to customize orders to fit their needs.

My Order: Small Bol with Kale Yeah Salad, brussels sprouts and cajun  sweet potatoes

Address: 1971 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792

Birds of Paradise- East End Market

I’m all about eating a healthy… at a bar… with a beer. It’s all about balance, right? Located at the entrance of East End Market, Birds of Paradise’s dishes incorporate locally raised meat & seafood in their diverse, plant-heavy menu. Nothing on their menu has refined sugars, and it’s a go-to stop if you’re dining with friends who have gluten or dairy intolerances.

My Order: Florida Bowl with tempeh and a wheat beer.

Address: 3201 Corrine Dr Suite #105, Orlando, FL 32803
